On Friday I ventured up to Bristol on the train to see my favourite boy for an early birthday.
He got the wrong train and the two train stations in Bristol are 458964876 miles apart. Lol silly.
When he finally got to the right train station we headed off for Starbs. And had Christmas presents since I couldn’t get train tickets for the only day off I had before Christmas in December. I knew he’d super love what I got him (Angry Birds tee/Steve Jobs book/cocktail chocs even if they tasted gross)! And birthday presents for me which I already posted about and are all amazing!
It was pretty crappy weather so we just stayed in there for a while before venturing off into the city centre. Where we went to get dindins at Bella Italia. We were going to go to Frankie & Bennys but it was a half hour wait and we couldn’t be bothered. :P
I, surprisingly, didn’t buy anything for myself. I’m usually drawn like a moth to flame to the MAC counter but there was nothing I really really wanted so I just ignored it. Yep. I walked straight past it. That’s a first. We really didn’t do much besides window shopping and hiding from the rain because it was crappy weather. Roll on Spring/Summer.
When everything started shutting we nipped into a different Starbucks (I try and make the most of it when I go away since we don’t have one close) :( And just took a whole bunch of photos in there whilst we anticipated heading back to the train station. :( He proceeded to blind me with his flash gun. That thing is bright. Srsly. And have lots of smiles, laughs and chats.
It came too quickly but we started to head back to the train station. He was carrying my sparkly handbag (ohyesdarling!) and we were singing Super Bass in the rain. We must have looked like a pair of drunk loons but we were totally sober. Promise.
We ended up going and sitting on the wrong platform and I told him to check again which one the train I was getting on, was leaving from - just to make sure. And I’m glad I did because we were on the complete wrong one and had to power walk it to the correct one. Needn’t have bothered though since my stupid train was way late and they weren’t even saying it was.
Sooo he left to go and wait for his train which ended up being on the platform opposite where I was stood so we were waving and texting across it. Lulz.
And then I left. :( Boo. Totally not enough time or nice enough weather but I had an amazing day anyway. It left me on a total high and I’ve been in an amazing mood ever since. If I start feeling crap I just think about how hilarious we are together and it stops me feeling rubbish.
I honestly have the most perfect best friend and I couldn’t have asked for a better early birthday (besides more time and better weather ;D)!
I love my Welsh Cake. ♡
